Sekhiya 75계

 

 

이 계율은 비구들이

가사를 입고, 행동하고, 말을 함에 있어

품위 있고 존경받는 수행자가 되게 하기 위해 제정하셨다.

 

바른 행동은

비구에게 공덕을 쌓게 하며,

시주자나 많은 사람들에게 존경을 받게 하여

불법(佛法)을 믿는 이들로 하여금 그들의 신심(信心)을 더욱 견고히 하게 한다.

 

 

These rules had been laid down for training the monks

to be graceful and respectable in wearing robes, in etiquette, behaviour,

and speech.

 

These good conducts result in gaining good merits for the monk,

and much respect from the devotees and public, that will further enhance

their belief and faith in Buddhism.
