7. 설법과 용변에 관한 戒 (Paduka Section/rules on preaching and disposal of excrements)

 

 

61. 비구는 샌달을 신고 있는 사람에게 설법해서는 안 된다.

Must not must not preach anyone with sandals on.

 

 

 

62. 신발을 신고 있는 사람에게 설법해서는 안 된다.

Must not preach anyone with shose on.

 

 

 

63. 수레 등 탈것을 타고 있는 사람에게 설법해서는 안 된다.

Must not preach anyone on a vehicle.

 

 

 

64. 벤치나 침대에 누워있는 사람에게 설법해서는 안 된다.

Must not preach anyone lying on a couch or a bed.

 

 

 

65. 손으로 무릎을 감싸거나 천으로 묶어서 앉아 있는 사람에게 설법해서는 안 된다.

Must not preach anyone sitting by clasping the knees with hands or cloth.

 

 

 

66. 머리카락이 조금도 들어 나지 않게 머리를 덮은 사람에게 설법해서는 안 된다.

      (모자․터번․왕관․스카프나 천으로 머리를 감싼 모든 사람을 포함한다.)

 

Must not preach anyone who covers the head without exposing any hair. This includes anyone with a hat, turban, or a crown on, or wrapping the head with a scarf or cloth.

 

 

 

67. 담요나 천으로 머리를 감싼 사람에게는 설법해서는 안 된다.

Must not preach anyone who is wrapped up to the head with a blanket or cloth.

 

 

 

68. 스님은 땅에 앉았는데 설법을 듣고자 하는 사람은 보다 높은 곳에 앉아 있으면 설법해서는 안 된다.

Must not preach anyone sitting on a higher seat while the monk is sitting on the ground.

 

 

 

69. 스님보다 높은 곳에 앉아 있는 사람에게 설법해서는 안 된다.

Must not preach anyone sitting on a seat higher than the monk.

 

 

 

70. 스님은 서있는데 듣고자 하는 사람이 앉아 있으면 설법해서는 안 된다.

Must not preach anyone sitting down while the monk is standing.

 

 

 

71. 걸어가면서 설법해서는 안 된다.

Must not preach anyone walking ahead of the monk.

 

 

 

72. 스님은 길가에나 길이 아닌 곳으로 걸어가는데 듣는 사람이 길에 있으 면 설법해서는 안 된다.

Must not preach anyone on the road

while the monk is walking beside the road or off the road.

 

 

 

73. 서서 대소변을 보아서는 안 된다.

Must not defecate or urinate while standing.

 

 

 

74. 풀 위에 대소변을 보거나 침을 뱉어서는 안 된다.

Must not defecate or urinate while standing.

 

 

 

75. 물에 대소변을 보거나 침을 뱉어서는 안 된다.

Must not defecate, urinate or spit on the water.

 

 

 

※ Paduka 계율은 아픈 사람에게는 허락된다.

** Any of the Paduka Rules is pardonable if the monk is sick.
